General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello

The issue of persistent spreading, itchy red hives on the body can be related to various possibilities as:
- Photo sensitivity
- Drug reaction through systemic manifestation
- Immune disorders as pemphigus vulgaris, bullous pemphigoid or others

A skin biopsy is a must for the precise diagnosis of underlying disorder as the details of skin layers, subcutaneous tissues are mandatory to evaluate desmosome and hemi desmosome structures.

Also vital is evaluation of specific antibodies in the blood. If any of the reports are available with you, kindly share with me during follow up session as skin disorders are very complex at times and need close discussion as well.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
