Could Positive HSV Be Traumatic?

Hi, what does it mean to be positive for HSV-1. I know its basically the herpes cold sore simplex, but how traumatic is this? Is it normal, common, or even something to worry about. I tested positive, but has never had a cold sore in my life. My sisters have gotten them every year around the cold season since we were kids. Could it have been contracted early in my life? I m just so paronoid and disgusted.

I really appreciate your concern, HSV 1 is viral infection and this is really positive then this can not be eradicated from body may need antiviral drugs, this may some time cause sporadic episodes, still immune system may play crucial role and can intact the vital system this could be matter of little concern and better to see the virologist for further management and test (Confirmation of diagnosis is must, just single test can not be final one) hope this information helps, take care .
