Could Prostap Injection Effect The Health Of The Fetus?
i am pregnant and had a prostap injection 3 weeks ago ( we were about to start our 2nd round of ivf with a frozen egg transfer, and unbelievably conceived naturally, so we are over the moon but very worried, as the baby will have been conceived around a week prior to the prostap injection) - i am concerned this will effect our much wanted baby, can you tell me the side effects?

Hi, I have gone through your question. Injection Prostap is Leuprorelin acetate which is ahormone. Safe use of this drug had not been established in pregnancy. There are several reports of fetal malformation when it is exposed to this drug in first trimester. I would suggest you to get a detailed anomaly ultrasound at18-20 weeks of pregnancy and get further management accordingly.
