Hi! I ve had a fever of 100 - 102 degrees the last 4 days. My doctor told me to alternate Tylenol and Advil. This worked and my temp. was normal. When I became very hot and sweaty I took my temp again and it was 96. Should I be concerned and call my doctor?
Internal Medicine Specialist, Dr. Divakara's Response
HI Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic .
You have been prescribed just paracetamol and anti-inflammatory drug . So your doctor thinks you are suffering from viral infection .
Your present temperature of 96 is normal . So there is no need to be concerned . But if you get a temperature of 100 or more then you may have to visit to doctor, get certain blood tests and may even have to take Antibiotic Medications .
Any clarifications or Queries feel free to ask. Happy to help you. Regards.
