Hey, I've been sick for almost two weeks. It started with a sore throat and chills and got to the point of body aches, congestion, coughing up mucus, and overall really painful symptoms. I went to the doctor 2 days after my symptoms started, to which they said I had a virus and gave me medication to treat that. About a week later I started feeling better. The next day it suddenly seemed to get worse. I went to the doctor again and they said it grew a bacterial infection and, again, gave me medication for treatment. They also took a mouth swab and I tested negative for strep throat. It's been a couple days and I've been coughing/throwing up mucus and emptying my stomach of the sickness. But now when I look at the very back of my throat, it has red bumps and a small white dot at one part. It really hurts to swallow, cough, talk, and sleeping sounds like a nightmare. Is it possible that I developed strep throat within the last couple days, after I tested negative?
