Could Red, Sore Spot On Waist Oozing Yellow Discharge Be Diabetic Ulcer?

Hi! I have a red insect bite looking spot on the right side of my waist. It is really sore and bite and sting cream doesn t help on it. I squashed it yesterday and some yellow discharge came out in the middle. It has a little crater on the middle. Is it posssible that it is an ulcer. ? have had the same on my foot 1 month ago. It was discharging for 2 weeks, I squezzed it many times, and now it s about to heel. I have seen some diabetic ulcer photos, and some looks similar. I used to take antibiotics when it was on my foot. What can I do with it? I don t want antibiotics again.a

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

According to your complaints it seems to be furuncle which is a bacterial infection of the hair follicle. You need to take a course of oral and topical antibiotics and anti inflammatory medicine. This won’t resolve without the antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
