Could Reduced Iron Levels During Pregnancy Effect The Baby?

I had to go into hospital yesterday to have iron through a drip as i am 35 weeks pregnant taking liquid iron and tablets yet my iron count is still falling will this have any effect on the baby ? I am having a section will they take me in earlier due to this as i am really not feeeling very well

see lower iron levels in mother means low hemoglobin and hence anemia during pregnancy...the baby gets nourishment from the mother throughout pregnancy...so if mother's general condition is poor, it will affect the child....there can be growth restriction....
so that's why, it is being tried to get your iron to higher levels...and if you are planned for an elective c-section, it is generally done by 37 weeks at the earliest...but if the situation requires, it can be done earlier....and you are in 35th week now...so c-section can be done earlier if required and if your baby is alright till now and the operation goes well, its likely that it would be normally grown....
