Could Rough Oral Sex And Smoking Lead To Sore Throat And Swollen Glands?

HI I have had very rough oral sex with a mate with lots of gagging and pounding. Later on, I went to a party and smoked quite a lot which is unusual for me. I woke up the day after with a very bad sore throat, swollen glands and the feeling that I had a cold. 3 days on, and I am only slightly better..Should I worry?

Hello,
Thank you for asking consultation with HCM.
I have gone through your history it suggests me that you are having infection of the pharynx because the symptoms which you enumerated are in favor of upper respiratory tract infection.
Oral sex followed by smoking more cigarette definitely increases the chance of developing throat infection because of which you are having swollen glands in the neck.
I would have advised
1. Oral Antibiotics
2.Oral Analgesics
3.Withhold smoking
Don't worry your symptoms will subside quickly and you will be alright soon.
Thank you.
