Could Severe Cough And Pain At The Temple Be Due To Smoking?

Hello my chest and lower stomach has been sore from coughing to much I ve taken cough medications and drinking plenty of water.. I ve also have a temporary but sharp pain in my right temple.., is this from smoking? I smoke daily but have just switched to Menthal .,, do I need to Quit?

It IS due to smoking; it might not be entirely due to it, though.

Although smokers are only 40% of my patients (natl avg under 15%), EVERYBODY I see with dumb little colds/sinus infection/bronchitis are ALL SMOKERS. The bird flu epidemic of 2-3 yrs ago freaked me and everyone else out because it was the only time we saw young non-smokers come into the office!
So... yes, smoking, but likely also some other infection too. Mostly viral; mostly only symptoms treatable, not fixable, goes away in (sorry) 1 month.

But, a reason to get treatment... at least feel better maybe treat a pneumonia.
Mainly... really really good motivation to quit. If it didn't kill you this time, likely some other time it will !
