Could Severe Loss Of Hair Be Due To Iron Deficiency?

Hi I came upon this website while looking for info to do with iron deficiency. My hair has been falling out excessively for more than 4months after a very stressful move of house. I also have a lot of jerking in my legs and some cognitive difficulties as well as dizziness, neck ache and light headedness. I can t walk either without being off balance for more that 3 months now. Can you tell me what other blood tests may be necessary with these symptoms so I can ask my doctor to do them, as she is not ever ordering anything for me. She only just ordered an iron blood test and it came back at 40. She then told me if it is below50 that hair is often falling out. should I also have my B12 tested and any other tests. thx Pat

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if your main concern is hair fall then this could be age and gender related and you have not mentioned your age and gender here, if you are male then this could be "Male-Patron Baldness" and nothing much can be done, your detail query would be appreciated, and will be answered in detail, take care have a nice day.
I find this answer helpful
