Could Severe Pain In Abdomen During Evenings Be Due To Gastritis?

My 7 yo daughter has stomach aches every evening. She has been tested for Coeliac and had her urine and stool examined. We have tried cutting out gluten and dairy but to no avail. She had an X-ray which the doctor said there was a lot of build up and trapped gas. Her stomach pops a lot. She poos regularly. She has a healthy diet. I m now thinking it has nothing to do with her diet and we have changed it and seen no difference. I want to help her. Pleas help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If she has having such significant symptoms, she may need to be evaluated by a gastroenterologist and upper GI endoscopy or capsule endoscopy may be needed however meanwhile using oral antacids like Sucralfate or motility agent like Domperidone can be helpful for improving the gastric motility and flatulence. Stool for H.pylori antigen may also be needed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
