Could Severe Pain In Back And Shoulder Be A Matter Of Concern?
Hi, I slipped down the stairs a few days ago and didnt think much after I made sure my shoulder wasn t dislocated. It s almost a week later and now my back is hurting along with my shoulder. I m not sure if I m just sore or if I should get medical attention. Any suggestions?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to upper back muscle strain. Over the counter analgesics like motrin (ibuprofen) and hot fomentation will be helpful in such case. If that is not helping then a consultation with orthopedician is well appreciated. Rotator cuff injury of shoulder also can give such symptoms. In case of any signs of that in examination by orthopedician a MRI will be required. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
