Could Severe Pain In Hip While Having Osteoarthritis Be Cracked Bone?

I have osteoarthritis in my right hip-- I have almost no cartilage left--I am in constant pain and wonder if something else could be wrong other than the arthritis--the pain changes places in my hip-sometimes my leg seems to be inches shorter than the other and I have to do a slow stretch to get them even, nothing touched the pain and I wonder if I could have possibly cracked a bone without realizing it or torn a ligament

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome.

Such a sensation and feeling is normal, and I would seriously advice an x-ray examination of both your hips to be taken to a joint replacement specialist. The age-related and arthritis-related changes that can take place in major joint such as the hip joint can call for a replacement which gives new life to many individuals.

I would seriously urge you to consider visiting a joint replacement specialist for the same.

Best wishes.
