Could Severe Pain In Inner Part Of Leg After Being Hit Suggest Injured Muscle?

Hi, I hit the inner part of my leg right below knee on furniture. There is a small bruise, but it hurts and is very sore. Did I hit a tendon or muscle, and should I be concerned about it possibly being an injury to a vein in that area? There is swelling, but you can only tell that if you touch it. It is not visibly swollen. Thanks!

You most likely bruised the muscle. The trauma could have caused a little bleeding into the muscle, which can be fairly painful, and created a bruise and swelling. Depending on your degree of pain and symptoms, you may want to get it checked. If you are having difficultly walking or moving your foot, I would be concerned about more serious muscle damage. Otherwise it's most likely minor trauma and should feel better in a few days. Hope this helps.
