Could Severe Pain In Left Side, Dizziness And Weightloss With Ovarian Cysts Be Ovarain Cancer?

I was recently diagnosed with an ovarian cysts and with a ct scan. I have not yet made a follow up appointment but I have been feeling worse lately. Severe pain on my left side (where the cyst is), dizziness, fatigue, increased urination. Before I was diagnosed with the cyst I was experiencing really bad discomfort with my stomach, severe constipation, occasional diarrhea, stomach pain, gas, indegistion, feeling full very quickly, and I had lost 40 pounds from now until about 4 months ago without trying. I m afraid something more is wrong. What do you think? Could it be ovarian cancer? I am 18, both of my grandmothers on each side of my family and my aunt have had breast cancer. And my other aunt has Tumors all over her ovaries making her Unable to conceive. What should I do?

it is extremely rare to get ovarian cancer at your age, and ovarian cysts at your age are almost always not cancer and usually resolve on their own with time. in addition, ovarian cancer usually does not cause pain like you describe. it could be that the cysts are causing your pain, but especially with the urinary symptoms, it is much more likely that the pain is from a urinary source, such as a urine infection. however, if it is the cysts causing your pain, and the pain does not resolve on its own, you should see your gynecologist. some cysts may need to be removed, or at least followed by ultrasound to make sure they have no signs of a rare tumor or in some cases they may damage the ovary as well by twisting it. this is rare, but should be followed if the pain does not resolve. I hope this was helpful, let me know if you have any more questions.
