Could Severe Pain In Muscle Be Due To Ligament Tear?

Hi, my mother was working and she bent to get something from floor but she culdnt rise back as she faced severe muscle pull at the hip side. We used moov and has been taking dolomed MR for the last three days but she is still in severe pain. Can it be a ligament tear or smthng else??
