Could Severe Pain In Ribs Be Due To Mammogram?

I had a repeat mammogram and I feel like my ribs on my left side r fractured or broken. I hurt so bad I can barely breath or move nd I didn t have this pain before I went in. Can a mammogram break or fracture your ribs? Why do I have such intense horrible immobilizing pain on my left side?

Yes, Mammograms can be painful if they are using old technology But today’s digital equipment allows images to be taken without as much pressure needed on the breast – so there’s not as much squeezing and very little or no pain. So I will advise you to ask your doctor regarding the method of mammograms and report the problem to him.
