Could Sharp Pain In Ankle While Moving After A Fall Be Sprain?

Hi, someone fell on my knee when my knee was at a 90 degree angle, and i hurt my ankle. the pain went away after 5-10 minutes..... when i move my ankle to the side, a sharp pain goes through my ankle. it this just a sprain, or a pulled muscle, or break?? the pain that goes through my ankle is very painfull.
