Could Shorter Periods, Sore Breasts And Increased Appetite Be Due To Pregnancy?

I had sex Jan. 10th later i had symptoms of a UTI but it came back negative. I got my period and it was shorter then usual, but same amount of blood. Now about a month later I feel tiredness, head pains, lower back pain, sore breasts, always hungry, and moody. Could I be pregnant?

Hi
Dr. Purushottam welcomes you to HCM virtual clinic.
I have gone through your query.
I think I have understood your concern, I will try to suggest you the best possible treatment options.

1) First of all do not panic.
2)as you had your periods after your last sex act, chances of pregnancy are nil.
But considering your unusual bleeding pattern and symptoms, you can clear the dilemma about pregnancy.
Please get morning's first sample tested for pregnancy. In case of doubt, blood beta HCG test and USG will be of help.
3)I will suggest to get proper sex counseling done. Use of barrier method like condom, will not only protect against unwanted pregnancy, but will also protect against STDs.

I hope my answer helps you.
Thanks.
Wish you good health.
With regards
Dr Purushottam Neurgaonkar
