Could Sore Throat And Difficulty In Swallowing Be Due To Infection?

Hi, I started to experience a really sore throat about 5 days ago, had difficulty swallowing because it was so painful so I went to the doctors and they just told me to take painkillers. It can be fine in the day, however as soon as I wake up in the morning the pain is so bad again and when i cough up mucus it sometimes has a black strand in it. Could this be an infection?

Hello

Thank you for trusting HCM

Dear you may be suffering acute viral pharyngitis, you have to start salt water gargle, avoid cool drinks and freeze water. Use tab azithromycin500 once a day for 5days. Tab. Alday DC twice a day. Still symptoms persisten you need to consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly. I think I answered to your question if you have more questions please feel free to ask me.
