Could Spotting And Bleeding Be Due To A Pregnancy?

I'm not expecting my period till tomorrow but I have not been feeling well. I felt like I have had pregnancy symptoms the last week, I feel like I felt with my first child. I have taken FOUR at home tests which have all come back positive, but then last night I spotted a little and and this morning I have begun to bleed. not heavy yet but still more than spotting now. Then took a shower and as I got out I bleed, then slowed down again and now I am wearing a pad just in case. Is this my period? Am I pregnant?

Hallow Dear,

The very fact that your all four pregnancy tests are positive is confirmatory of your pregnancy. However, these positive results were one day before the expected (or missed) period. At this stage, the urine pregnancy test is not positive, since the levels of hCG hormone are very low so early.

If your pregnancy test is positive so early, it suggests that the hCG levels are very high. This can happen in molar pregnancy which is not a normal pregnancy. In molar pregnancy, there is vesicular degeneration or growth of products of conception. It needs to be evacuated if it does not get expelled out spontaneously.

Molar pregnancy before expulsion starts some bleeding which may be brownish and may contain some vesicles also.

Quantitative estimation of Beta hCG hormone and ultrasonography may help in the confirmation of diagnosis.
