Could Surgery On Thumb Cause Swelling On Inside Of Elbow?

I have swelling on the inside of my elbow, it seems like a soft tissue swelling. I ve been taking ibuprofen & I ve tried warmth to get the swelling down, but nothing helps. I ve had surgery on my thumb about 2 months ago & now I wonder if this could have anything to do with it.

it can be related to surgery of thumb. should have given detail of surgery of thumb. what was the problem. was there inflamatory cause of thumb surgery. may be present elbow swelling is lymphatic drainage from surgery.get both problem checked by surgeon. may be systemic antibiotic like inj penicillin is required.
