Could Swelling And Pain After Ear Piercing Be Due To Infection?

Hi there. I have a question about ear piercings. I got my ear pierced about 3 months ago and its started to flare up. It has swollen up and is warm to the touch. It is mildly painful, and secretes a small amount of clear fluid. Is it infected? If so, how should I treat said infection? Any advice is much apperciated!!!! Thanks!

Hello, welcome to healthcare
first of all remove anything present in the piercing. If at all you want to put try only inert metal like gold platinum.
second start antibiotic like amoxicillin.
Apply broad spectrum ointment having anti fungal antibiotic and steroid preparation after cleaning it with soap and water.
