Could Swelling And Soreness In Front Of Hyoid Bone Be Due To Prolonged Coughing?

I have had a bad cold for two weeks with much deep, prolonged coughing. I noticed last night some slight swelling and soreness in front of the hyoid bone of my neck. I am not running a fever. I do have a slight sore throat. I swallow food and drink easily. I suspect that the slight swelling and soreness of the area is connected to the coughing. What are your thoughts?

you are having pharingitis. warm saline gurgling and ezythocin 500mg for threedays can be taken benadryl cough syrup can be taken.
