Could Swelling, Redness And Bruising On Right Ankle Indicate Blood Clot?

Hello. My right ankle has sweeping bruising, more red than blue and is warm to the touch. I do not recall an injury however two days ago I potted plants while sitting on a low stool and could've strained it getting up. I'm not overweight - I weigh 130 at 5'6". It's very tender to the touch and feels better with ice on it. It woke me up at 4:00 am in pain this morning. Again ice helped with BC powder and I was ok to work at the office. Tonight it is more swoellen and red. Do I need to be concerned about a blood clot? Does it sound like a tendon?
Thank you

HI
Well come to HC
I really appreciate your concern, single joint arthritis may be likely if there is no history of injury and for that you need to get done the x-ray of ankle, till then pain can be managed with "Tab Diclofenac 50 mg " once in day, (Infection need to be ruled out too) hope this information helps, take care.
