Could Taking Simvastatin,20 Mg Be Harmful In Case Of Problems With Liver?

I have been treated for hep c..I was on interfuron and pegatron and it was succesful... recently I was told that my colestorol was a little high and was put on simvastatin,20 mg....I have been told that that drug could be dangerous if I have had any problems with my liver.. especially hep C is that true and is it dangerous...my liver functions have been normal and my viral load is also normal.
