Could Teething Cause Recurring Vomiting And Mood Swings In A Toddler?

Hi my 15 month old son was sick yesterday morning after his milk. White curdled milk. Tried cal pol medicine after that which seemed to settle him. He was sick again yesterday afternoon again. No sickness since so over 24 hours has taken 15 oz of milk today business t he is grazing on his food not really eating much and that isn t like him normally he eats non stop. His irritable as well, fine one minute playing and bouncing around then he seems to have a melt down and just wants cuddles. Any suggestions thought it was his teeth. Molars have just come through but not to sure. Just not himself at all.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Teething is a horrible process for a toddler since the gums hurt because they are growing teeth out! Infants/ toddlers are highly susceptible to stomach infections during this time since they like to chew on everything that's possible and he is probably vomiting due to that. Teething also causes appetite loss and mood swings due to the pain. Give him calpol every 6 hours or as needed for the pain, and give him melon peels so he can chew on them and avoid other things. This practice can reduce the chances of stomach infections.
