Could Tender, Tight Throat With Difficulty In Swallowing Indicate Sore Throat?

Hi the sides of my throat have felt tender for a few days now, and at times my throat feels tight and im having problems swallowing. is this a sore throat or something else? Also i was wondering if you would be able to answer a question about aneixty as well

The most common cause for acute sore throat is viral infection of the throat. This would normally resolve within a week.

Bacterial infection can also occur but this would require antibiotics.

Anxiety is a common condition that can be treated by counselling, psychotherapy and medication.
