Could Tenderness And Bruising On Forehead Be Symptom Of Concussion?

Three days ago I slipped and hit my head on a rock. Now I have a bump on my forehead above my right eyebrow and my right eye feels a bit painful. The spot where I hit my forehead is only a little bruised and does not hurt much, but it is sensitive to the touch. Could this still be a serious injury or not? I am not experiencing any symptoms of a concussion (I have had a concussion once already) and I feel fine except for the mild pain on my forehead and around the eye.

Hi,

If there was no history of loss consciousness / severe headache / vomiting, significant head injury or concussion is unlikely. This indicates a contusion there. Try taking simple analgesics like Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen after food for 3-5 days. You will be alright by then.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
