Could The Bleeding Be Due To Birth Control Injection?

hi am 23 years old.i have strarted to use the injeccion for birthcontrol since Jan this year.this March i have had my period already in the beginning of the month and i have started seeing spot since 3 days ago and now am actually having my period.could it be the injection?
