Could The Calf Pain Be Related To The Achilles Tendon Pain?

I have been having pain in my achilles tendon for a few months. I am over weight and have tried stretching and exerciseing more. Now I have pain radiating into my calf. I am worried it may be a blood clot as I have a history of PE while on birth control. I am not on birth contol at this time. COuld the calf pain be related to the achilles tendon pain
