Hello and thank you for asking!
I can understand your concern and i am trying to give you some more information regarding to your query.
The symptoms related to the nodule may be due to its mechanical compression to the adjacent structure and may be; cough or difficulty in swallowing or breathing. in general they happen when the nodule is too big.
You didn't mention how the thyroid function is, i.e; thyroid hormonal level. If it is compromentated than the thyroid may be the cause of your symptoms.
Hope the information will help.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
