Could The Hard Lump On The Jaw Have Been Caused By Infection?

I had an infected porcelain tooth removed over a month ago and now there is a hard lump on my jaw where it was removed. It does not seem to be painful but it is a cause for concern. No swelling on cheeks just a hard bump on the jaw. I had antibiotics after surgery but did not take them as prescribed because the damage I know they do to your good gut bacteria.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Usually the lump is caused by infection and in your case it is possible. Antibiotics are better to take as the doctor has prescribed. Do not worry the lump will go away after some days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
