Could The Inability To Attain Target Rate On Treadmill Test Be A Matter Of Concern?

HI, I AM A 51 FEMALE AND JUST HAD A WEEK OF TESTING, THE MAIN ONE I AM CONCERNED ABOUT IS TE NUCLEAR STRESS TEST.MY RESTING RATE WAS 88 AND MY TARGET RATE WAS 143. AFTER BEING ONTHE TRAILMILL FOR 9 MINS AT 4.2 MILES WITH AN INCLINE I COULD NOT GET MY TARGET RATE PAST 106. I HAD TO BE INJECTED. SHOULD I BE CONCERNED?

Dear friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

The major criterion is ECG change
Pressure and rate are important but need correlation with the total clinical picture
Poor physical training, treatment with beta blockers are also some of the contributing causes for the failure to up the rate
The treating doctor alone can suggest further based on his assessment of the situation.

Take care
Good luck
