Could The Low Dosage Of Antibiotic Sufficient For Undiagnosed Chlamydia?

I recently had unprotected sex with a new partner and he said he was infected and diagnosed with chlamydia and was prescribed doxycycline 100 mg . My tests however came back negative, however i told my doc that i would still like to be treated. He prescribed azithromycin 250 mg 1 tab and said that it was enough. My question is, is that tx enough?
