Could The Lump Behind The Ear Possibly Be Lymphoma?

I have had a lump behind my year for a few years now, it s soft and movable. It isn t painful, it first appeared when I had chicken pox but it hasn t gone away since then. I looked online a year ago and I came across lymphoma, I m scared I may have it. I have no symptoms of lymphoma except from tiredness but I go to bed quite late especially on weekends. I m a teenager. My legs sometimes ache but I had surgery on both of them 4 years ago. I was told by my dad that it could be growing pains. However I m worried about the lump. Possible lymphoma?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Any lump behind ear could be lipoma or sebaceous cyst or swollen lymph nodes, these are the most common causes.
If you are much bothered about lymphoma then I would suggest you to go for tissue biopsy. It will make confirmation regarding lymphoma.
Therefore you need to go to general surgeon and can have excision of the lump under local anesthesia.
Thanks,
