Could The Mucus And Blood In Stools Be Connected To Fatty Liver?

I am seeing a liver specialist next week for increased alt results, I had an ultrasound which showed mild fatty liver but they are still increasing. I have since stopped taking he pill which was the only medication I was on. I have also noticed mucus and blood in my stool, is that possibly connected? Oh and they think it is from pre-eclampsia which I had at the very end of two pregnancies

Hi there,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Mucus and blood in stools indiacte colitis. It could be due to infection or inflammatory bowel disease.
It is not related to fatty liver. They are two different entities.

I hope that answers your query.
Regards.
