Could The Nodule Shown On Thyroid Test Be Cancerous?

hi i am 36 year old woman, have a 3cm nodule on the right side of my thyriod, it has increased blood flow, and i have been feeling unwell for a while, am having a biopsy next wk is there a chance it could be cancer? or what else as it has increased blood flow?

I can understand you concern.

It is very difficult to say whether a nodule is malignant or not only by the blood flow. There are many features that suggest for malignancy (the increase in dimensions, increased blood flow, micro calcification, irregular borders, ect. When two or more features are present, than it is an indication to do fine needle aspiration.

It is very sensitive for the diagnosis of the thyroid malignant nodules.
