Could The Numbness In Lower Limbs Leads To Immobility?

my father a bullet injury in spinal cord region D12 he is suffering from severe pain in lower limbs but no sensation in lower limbs i want to know whether he will be able to sense anything or not he will walk on his own or not plz respond to this question
