Could The Pain In Muscles Be Related To Anemia?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here. Hello. I am a 61 yr. old female with iron deficient anemia. Had a colonoscopy and one polyp removed but it was also noted I had a few non-bleeding (at that time) colonic angioectasias. I had two bone marrow biopsies which looked good. I have fibromyalgia also and use exercise as a method of pain management but after those biopsies, I have had increased hip and knee pain (most likely the piraformis muscle) and I think the sciatic nerve may be involved. I cannot get the muscle(s) to relax--heat, stretching or exercise is not helping. What I want to know is could this be related to the anemia I m dealing with? Of course, I am getting very little sleep as a result of all this pain. Any thoughts about this?
