Could The Pain In My Upper Abdomen, Which Persists Despite Medication, Be Due To My GERD And Hiatal Hernia?

I suffer from GERD and hiatal hernia. Even meds don t do much to relieve pain I have in upper middle abdomen. I feel as though I have a hole in my stomach. Have appointment with gastroenterologist in March. Is this related to the GERD and hiatal hernia?
