Could The Pain On Right Side Of Abdomen Be Due To Kidney Infection?
I'm 29 yes old, I had a baby six months ago. No complications or anything. My periods are normal except they became a little heavier after I had the baby. Over all I'm in good shape. About few days ago I'm having pains in my right side (kidney I guess). I have a kidney infection few years back. But this time the pains started just about when I thought I was going off my period (usually lasts about a week). But as I started to notice the pain in my side my period seemed like it's still going. Now it's been 12 days I've been on my period. Does the bleeding have something to do with the kidney pain?
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It can be due to some stones (calculi) is your kidneys. You can go for an ultrasound scan to look for stones or any other lesions in your kidney. Also do a urine routine and urine culture to rule out urinarybtract infection. As of now you can take antispasmodics like cyclopam for symptomatic relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
