Could The Red Wine Be Causing Dizziness?

Hi, for the past 2 weeks I have been feeling very dizzy during the day at work, weak, and can't concentrate or remember. I have two glasses of red wine every night. I had a CT scan and lab work and everything can back normal. Could the red wine be causing my dizziness?

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Yes alcohol is well known factor inducing dizziness ....

So alcohol should be avoided ....

Here you have to check your ear as otitis media, and labyrinthitis like condition can lead to dizziness ....
So if present treated accordingly ....with antibiotic and short term steroid if needed ....

Meanwhile check your blood pressure also ...along with blood sugar estimation...as hypotension and hypoglycemia can lead dizziness ...
So corrected if present. ..

If vertigo occurs in particular change of head position than it could be BPPV like positional vertigo. ...

If needed betahistine can be given ....

Neurological examination also done ...

CT scan normal ...so no need for worry about brain organic cause ....

Take care ....
