Could The Repeated Positive Elisa Tests And Negative PCR Tests Be False Positives Or Indicate Elite Control?

Query I have 3 time Elisa test with cobas 6000 with reactive result with titer from 2.7 till 3.3 during 7 months But my PCR negative 3 times and also another Elisa machines Beckman and Autobio are negative I don t have any sex with anyone except my husband that already 3 times tested with cobas negative also no blood transfusion and in Yemen with low HIV prevalence Is this false positive or elite controllers Should be worried or continue my sexual life normally with my wife I am really under depression here Please advice me what I should do Thank you As well as, during the first 3 months I am enter in excessive hormonal therapy for ICSI to be pregnant but unfortunately I had abortion with twin in the 6th week is that have any relation here

Hi,

Have you done HIV DNA PCR for HIV 1 and HIV RAN PCR for separately for HIV 2? If both were nonreactive a month after your last sexual contact, then the ELISA reactivity could be due to false positive. False positive can happen with pregnancy occasionally.
