Could The Scar Tissue Seen In Chest X-ray Be Mistaken As Pneumonia?

I was diagnosed with pneumonia three weeks ago,,,i just had another chest xray and the tech said the xray showed it did not clear up and also said maybe its is scar tissue. would I still have the pnuemona after the first chest xray of three weeks or could it be scar tissue after uch a short time from first xra????

Hi. On an xray a pneumonia will take six to eight weeks to resolve. Clinically the patient will improve sooner. So don't worry as long as you have completed your course of meds and you are feeling alright. Take care.
