Could The Severe Pain In Knee Be Due To Torn ACL?

I was out jogging about five years ago and was accidentally struck by a car, and my knee took the biggest hit. While it did swell and was a little unstable for a few days, I put a brace on it, and it seemed much better in a few weeks. I didn't follow up on it, and I've continued without much problem. Recently, I tried to start jogging again, and noticed pain in that knee after about a week or two. I also notice that if I stand on it for long periods of time or go hiking long distances, it gets sore/tired. Could I have torn my ACL or something else and not even known it? Considering having it checked now even though years later because I'm concerned there may be damage I do not know about even though it doesn't cause me day to day pain.
