Hello,
HPV warts are skin-colored, cauliflower-like growths, not pustules. HPV warts do not contain pus and usually grow over time rather than appearing suddenly. If your bumps haven’t changed in size and don’t resemble warts, HPV is less likely. Get clinically examined by a
urologist or venerologist.
Since the small pustule-like bumps in your genital area haven't responded to Cefixime (an antibiotic) or an antifungal lotion after three weeks, you might need a different antibiotic (topical like
Mupirocin or oral like Doxycycline). It could be
folliculitis. Take care of your hygiene and wear soft, loose-fitting cotton clothing to rule out heat rash or sweat rash.
Get STD tests done to be on the safer side. If viral (
Molluscum or HPV) is detected,
cryotherapy or laser might be needed. Keep the area clean and dry, and avoid scratching or squeezing the bumps. Get it re-evaluated by a doctor, as the medicines you took didn't work.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
