Could The Sudden Spray Of Blood Or B-12 After Giving A Thigh Injection Mean I Hit An Artery?

I was giving my neighbor her monthly B-12 shot. When I pulled the needle out of her lateral thigh, either blood or the B-12 serum itself shot out like it was under pressure. It quit fairly quickly. Could I have hit an artery? Should I be worried?
