Could The Swelling And Blisters Be Due Stung In The Foot?

My 20 yr old son has been stung twice in one week on the same foot. Once near ankle with the foot swelling and diminished in one week. Second sting happened yesterday on the middle toe of same foot. Today hieps toe has large blisters and his foot is swollen like the first time. He has take benadryl two tablets each dose since yesterday when bit with little or no help. His foot is very sore and hard to work on. Should he see his family doctor.

Yes, in your case, the swelling and blisters appear to be caused by stings. You should immediately apply a topical steroid cream of mild to moderate potency over the area followed by a calamine lotion twice or thrice a day. you should do this for at least 5 days. And you can take one paracetamol tablet for pain and one levocetrizine tablet at night just before sleeping for next 5 days. Also do cold compressing over the leg for next 5 days two times a day. This treatment will be sufficient. Take care.
