Could The Voice Cracks Be Due To Nasal Polyps?

Hi, I am a 17 year old male. I will be turning 18 in 2 months. I have been an upcoming singer for around 5 years. I experienced the puberty/voice cracks mainly early at around the age of 11-13. I used to be compared to that of my sister on the phone until the change. Now I am 17 and I have just recently as of maybe 8 months ago discovered what is known for singers as the head voice. I played around with it and usually sing songs far from my chest range and require me to solely sing head voice the majority of the time. Now as of maybe a week ago I wake up and my voice cracks when I try to hit the same notes I use to hit so well in head voice. Am I going through puberty again or maybe I have vocal nodules or polyps or something?

Hello,

It is possible that voice may change up to 17-18 years in boys and 16 years in girls.

So in this age, you have to keep on gentle practice otherwise chances to damage your cords.

So please consult your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
